Hey there all of you Tri-County Pest Control fans and welcome to our newest Wacky Pest Wednesday – where we will share with you all some wild facts we have come across from the pest world we have been entrenched in for more than three decades.

Today’s Wacky Wednesday Pest Fact focuses on termites. Enjoy!

Did you know that the total weight of all the termites in the world is more than the total weight of all the humans in the world? That’s an awful lot of termites!!

While, yes, they are pests, termites are inherently beneficial creatures. They act as decomposers, serving to break down decaying trees and turning them into soil, as well as plant fibers.

Additionally, they improve the soil by aerating it.

Who knew this about termites? Wacky, isn’t it?
