Wacky Pest Wednesday: Mice

 In News

A very happy Wednesday to all of our Tri-County Pest Control fans out there, and welcome to our latest edition of Wacky Pest Wednesday!  Today, we invite you to join us, as we cover a pretty famous pest out there, the mouse.

There are some mice out there that are just adorable, like Mickey Mouse or Jerry from “Tom and Jerry.”  However, unlike these funny and cute characters, mice can be very destructive in your home, gnawing through wood, drywall, and wires in order to create their perfect burrow.  They may not be able to carve that perfect mousehole that you see on tv, but you will most certainly know that a mouse is around by the sheer amount of chewing that they do.

While this can turn into both a structural and cosmetic issue for your home, you should also be aware that mice come with many microorganisms and bacteria ready to take a toll on your family.  The plague may have started on rats (which are pretty different than mice!) but their distant cousins will still carry infectious strains of bacteria in their droppings, which can—not surprisingly—turn into a major health risk if left untreated.

When it comes to mice, don’t take care of them yourself, as there is a great chance of harm occurring to both you and the mouse.  Instead, give the professionals a call, and we can be right there to remove your new guest with speed and precision, humanely.

If you think you have a mouse in your home—and if you’re certain that it’s not Mickey Mouse—give us a call today!
