Wacky Pest Wednesday: Reindeer

 In News

Happy Wednesday, Tri-County Pest Control fans, and welcome back to another edition of Wacky Pest Wednesday!  Since Christmas is right around the corner, we figured that we would focus in on a “pest” that you might see this weekend: reindeer.

Reindeer are extremely interesting critters, as they generally come out in droves during the holiday season.  They are known as hard-working animals, and there are even a select few who have the ability to fly (in addition to one who has a glowing red nose).  You may see reindeer this weekend when you look up on Christmas Eve, as they will generally be accompanied by sleigh bells.

While reindeer pose absolutely no threat to you or your home, it is considered a kind gesture to leave them something to eat for when Santa comes down the chimney.  Some of their staples include oats, carrots, and raisins.  If you would be so inclined, you can leave out some “reindeer chow” on your roof, or at the very least leave a few carrots next to Santa’s cookies.  These guys will be working overtime come the weekend, so please be sure to leave something out for them if you can spare the time.

Reindeer are the furthest thing from a pest, but we feel as though you should know about them heading into the weekend.  If you need any more advice about these furry guys, please don’t hesitate to call.

From all of us at Tri-County Pest Control, we wish you and your family a very merry Christmas!
