Wacky Pest Wednesday: Cockroaches

 In News

Happy Wednesday to all of the Tri-County Pest Control fans out there!  We’re here with yet another edition of Wacky Pest Wednesday, and this week we’re covering one of the most fearsome of pests: the cockroach.

Cockroaches, or “roaches” as they’re commonly referred to, are arguably one of the most infamous pests out there.  Thriving in dirty and damp environments, the cockroach can be a menacing critter, as they generally congregate in the numbers and can spread disease.  While some species are friendly and regarded as pets (like the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, for example), most species of roaches are pests in their own nature, and can cause serious problems for the homeowner.

If you happen to see a cockroach crawling around your floor, swatting at it with a shoe won’t do much to help the infestation, as there are bound to be more lurking somewhere else in your home.  You’re probably better off with a nuclear explosion to get rid of them, and even some species of roaches can withstand that (check out one of our older articles to see how a roach can survive a nuclear explosion)!  Hey, if they can live without their head for a week, and run at speeds up to 3 miles per hour, it can take a lot to get them all out!

Thankfully, that’s where the pros at Tri-County Pest Control come in.  They use environmentally free and time-tested solutions to get your cockroach problem out, and keep it out for good (and without the use of radioactive substances)!  For a family, a cockroach infestation may seem like a major problem, but with the expertise of our specialists, you have absolutely nothing to fear.
