Tri-County Pest Control Q&A: Signs of fleas

 In News

Hi there everyone and welcome to our latest edition of a “Tri-County Pest Control Q&A”.

Today, we’re tackling one of your questions about fleas:

Question: How can we tell if fleas have been brought into the house?

Answer: There are several signs of flea activity. One easy way to detect an infiltration is to view your pets constantly scratching or wanting to groom themselves. Because the adult flea feeds on your pets’ blood, they will scratch due to the discomfort they experience.

Humans can also be bitten by fleas. They will leave in their wake minuscule bite marks.

Flea droppings or dirt can also indicate activity in your home. Flea dirt – which mimics ground black pepper – can be located in rugs, carpets, or anywhere else your pets lays down.

If you suspect a flea infestation, call our Tri-County Pest Control experts immediately.
